About Me
I'm a Marketing Consultant from Bury, Lancashire. I started marketing in a non-commercial industry after graduating from university with a BA (Hons) in Art History and a Postgraduate Diploma in Heritage Studies. Initially, I worked on a voluntary basis for Local Authority Art Galleries and Museums, curating valuable collections for public exhibitions.
"My voluntary work made me realise the power of storytelling, and the importance of the gallery space."
After gaining experience in the commercial world of business, I studied for a further degree in Marketing with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Using my affiliation with the CIM as a catalyst, I landed my first full-time marketing position with a major British manufacturing company.
10 years on, I have enjoyed an exciting and varied career, working across different market sectors; from branded sportswear, fire suppression and mining systems, rugs and carpets, and quality affordable housing.
I've worked for different sizes of businesses, including family-owned SME's, to global corporations, and everything in between.
"During my career, I have helped to launch new products and services to market by producing and implementing marketing communications plans across the full mix.
I have collaborated with creative agencies on direct marketing campaigns, paid advertising campaigns, social media, and PR campaigns. I have produced content rich assets, including technical whitepapers and case studies, videos, and infographics, as well as the usual sales materials.
I've also been lucky enough to travel abroad to deliver trade shows for my sales teams.”

Importance of Marketing & Background Information
"Nowadays, it's so important to look professional online and clearly communicate your USP's in an engaging and original way. Moreover, marketing should infiltrate all touchpoints of your business, throughout the customer journey. If your business is represented in the right way, it can help you to stand out from the crowd and persuade customers to part with their money. They may even recommend you to their network."
…And when Louise is not writing marketing plans, she enjoys walking in the Lake District and spending time with friends and family. Louise is also an Assignment Tutor at the Oxford College of Marketing (Oxcom), helping graduates realise their own ambitions to become professional marketers.
